Home Visit

Today was our home visit with our midwife, Cathy, and her assistant, Connie. It's exciting to be to this point! Typically, I drive to Cathy's home for appointments. But four weeks before the due date, Cathy comes for a home visit to make sure everything is ready for the big day. We have the birthing tub set up in our bedroom, and all of the supplies handy. Cathy took my blood pressure and we listened to the baby's heartbeat, like we do at every appointment. Elijah likes to stick close to me and see what's going on. He's just really not too sure about Cathy and what she's doing to me, even though I assure him that everything is 'fine' and 'fun!'
